Mrs. Bevins, Wife of Deputy Chief
Mrs. Anne Bevins of 2307 Sunset Ave., wife of Deputy Fire Chief Maurice Bevins, died yesterday in Children´s Hospital Home. Mrs. Bevins was born in Utica, daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Schuff Nicholson. She attended Utica Catholic Academy and was graduated from St. Luke´s Hospital School of Nursing. For the past several years, she had been a supervisor at the Children´s Hospital Home. She was marreid in Utica in 1939. Mrs. Bevins was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and its Christ Child Society. She was also a member of the St. Luke´s Memorial Nurses Alumni and the Lucy Kellogg Society.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Robert and Richard, both at home, and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Helmer, Miss Elizabeth Nicholson and Mrs. Agnes VanSchaick, all of Utica. The funeral will be at 8:15 Thursday from the Heinz Funeral Home and at 9 from Our Lady of Lourdes Church where a requiem high Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow and Wednesday.
