Emmett Joseph Buckley died August 20,1987 at his home in Salt Lake City.

Born December 4,1918 in Spring Glen Utah, to Andrew J, and Etta Mae Bellows Buckley. Attended high school and junior college at the College of Central Utah. Served in the United States Air Force in England during WWll. Graduated from U.S.U in Logan with a B.A. and M.A. degree in education. Taught in Utah, California and Nebraska and also High School Drop Out Program at Camp Williams. Also taught at Winnebago Indian School. Worked for Social Services in Omaha, Nebraska. Married Eleanor Ottman, April 28, 1953. She preceded him in death. He studied law, wrote and published poems, song lyrics, newspaper and magazine articles. Active in the Catholic Church; Knight of Columbus.

Survived by sisters, Edith Masters, Katherine Stowell Smith,Bella Buckley, Salt Lake City,Hazel Kidd Bluffdale, Phoebe Hults St Louis Missouri,brother Lawrence Buckley Helper Utah. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church 1040 West 400 South. Holy Rosary will be recited at Monday at 8 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell Mortuary, 372 East First South where friends may call Monday at 7 p.m. until time of rosary.
