PROMINENT WOMAN IS BURIED MONDAY

Wife of Dr. W. H. Banks, Coldwater, Dies After Short Illness

COLDWATER, Oct. 7 - Funeral rites were held from the Coldwater Baptist church this afternoon for Mrs. Annie Webb Banks, 51, wife of Dr. W. H. Banks, who died last night after illness of only a few hours.

Mrs. Banks suffered from asthma.

Dr. Banks, prominent physician, with offices in this city, is a member of the Mississippi State Board of Health. Burial followed in the Linwood cemetery at McDonald, Neshoba county.

Annie Webb was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Webb of Dixon. Her mother died while she was a baby and her grand parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Mason reared her. She was a member of the Baptist church.

Dr. and Mrs. Banks were married a number of years ago and to them were born four children, one having died several years ago. Three survive, a daughter, Mrs. Addie Banks Williamson, Shady Grove and Uriah Banks and Wommack Banks of the Coldwater community. She is also survived by several grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Fox Lewis, Union, and three brothers, Sol Webb, Delta, and Andrew and T. C. Webb, Dixon. She was the sister-in-law of Judge George Banks, Newton and a cousin of T. A. Webb and Mrs. Brown Williams of this city.
