NEWS - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - October 16, 1863; extracted from a letter from A.D.S., Chattanooga, Tenn.: "I give you a list of the killed, wounded and missing, of the 101st and 75th Indiana Regiments from Wabash county ... missing, Corporal William Busick, Corporal Gilbert Moore. These were sent off the field with Lieut. Busick, and have not been heard from since. The friends of Captains McKahan and Williams may want to know how they stood fire. I would say to them, they stood at their post for forty-eight hours, under fire of shot and shell, never could have done better."
