Mr. Liles was a former District Judge, Past President of the Kiwanis Club, Past President of the State Junior Bar Association, Past President of the Conroe Independent School Board, member of the Montgomery Lodge No. 25 A.F. & A.M., member of the Conroe Shrine Club, charter member and board of directors of the First Federal Savings & Loan, veteran of World War II, retired Captain U.S.N.R. and was active for many years in naval recruiting. Mr. Liles practiced both civil and criminal law in Montgomery County and had practiced before the Supreme Court of the United States.
