A Susquehanna Twp. woman was killed in a two-car accident in the township yesterday afternoon. Alma Firestone, 87, died at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where she and the other driver were taken after the noon crash, officials said. Firestone, who was driving a Honda Accord west on Union Deposit Road, was turning left into Union Square Shopping Center when her car was struck by an eastbound Nissan Maxima driven by Jason Hendricks, 34, of Lower Paxton Twp., said Robert Martin, Susquehanna Twp. police chief. Hendricks was released after treatment at Hershey, Martin said. Firestone and Hendricks were alone in their vehicles, he said. Investigators are seeking help from the public as they try to determine the details of the accident. Martin said only one person has come forward. Anyone who witnessed the accident may call police at 652-8265. [Patriot News, February 13, 2007]
