John J. Sifers, 90 years old, a retired farmer, and a resident of Buchanan county since 1841 , died early yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Earlywine, 512 North Twelfth street. He had been in failing health for a year. Sifers was born at Cumberland Gap, Tenn. For many years he lived near Easton, Mo. Aside from Mrs. Earlywine, three other surviving daughters are: Mrs. Rebecca Gibson of El Reno, Okla.; Mrs. Lou Hamilton of Charleston, Okla.; Mrs. Jennie Black of Anacortes, Wash.; and two sons, Joseph S. Sifers and J. H. Sifers of Hutchinson, Kan. Sifers was a member of the Presbyterian church at Easton.

FUNERAL NOTICES

JOHN JACKSON SIFERS, aged 89 years, died at 2:00 a.m. Monday. Funeral will be from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Anna Earlywine 510 N. 12th st. this Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Friends invited. Burial 7 miles southeast of Easton at Elder cemetery.
