Lorene was born on May 2, 1931 in Gypsy, Oklahoma to Thomas Langley and Mabel Smith Langley. She was raised and educated in the Gypsy and Bristow areas. She was united in marriage to Obie "Jack" Earp on July 25, 1954 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. They lived all their married life east of Cushing until his death in 2006. She loved to garden and always kept a beautiful yard. She never missed a basketball or football game her children played. She enjoyed watching the game on TV and was a devoted OU fan. She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church. Lorene was very gifted writing Poetry and wrote many beautiful poems for loved ones at the time of their passing. Lorene is survived by her daughter, Claudia Hopkins and husband Ernie of Cushing; a son, Wyatt Earp and wife Angela of Cushing; granddaughters, Raegan, Katelyn, Jenah and Chelsie; sister, Julane Biederstedt and husband Wallace of Lewiston, Idaho; brother, David Langley of Cushing; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack, sister, Geneva Gowdy of Amarillo, Texas and her beloved granddaughter, Lori Glimp.
