Helen P. Schumann, 89, of Elgin, passed away Sunday in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Elgin.
She was born January 7, 1911 in Beckemeyer, IL., and was the daughter of Michael and Mary Doncho. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Elgin.
She is survived by two children, Ronald (Carol) Schumann of Spring, TX., Donna Marie Roppo of Belvidere, IL.; four grandchildren, Michael J. and Kristen Schumann, Gary Roppo and Kevin W. Walsh.
Preceded in death by parents, husband, William Schumann in 1963; three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM in the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Elgin with Rev. Thomas Dempsey officiating. Burial will be in Mary Hill Cemetery, Niles, IL. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with prayers recited at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of services in the Church. Memorials may be made to the Church.
