Mrs. Leo Bevins
Mrs. Josephine O´Connor Bevins, 83, of 12 Cornwall Ave., Utica, died Saturday, January 26, 1985 at Broadacres S.N.F. She was born in Rome, the daughter of Patrick J. and Mary Clair O´Connor and was educated in St. John´s school and Utica Catholic Academy. In Our Lady of Lourdes Church on July 18, 1932 she was married to Leo A. Bevins. Mrs. Bevins is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes and was an active member of the parish organizations.
She is survived by her husband, Leo; two daughters, Mrs. James R. (Patty) Neary of Deerfield and Mrs. Thomas C. (Joan) Warren of Bedford, New Hampshire; two sisters, Mrs. George (Mary) Dunn of Virginia and Mrs. Frank (Lillian) Marsh of New Hartford; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bevins was predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy Bevins Hobbs and a sister, Miss Pearl M. O´Connor.
The funeral will be Tuesday morning at 9 o´clock at the Heintz Funeral Home, 1517 Whitesboro Street and 9:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are Monday 2-4 and 7-9. As a memoriam to Mrs. Bevins, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer´s Disease Assoc., 2322 Glover Rd., Marcellus, N.Y. 13108.
