She died Monday, March 4, 2002.
She was born Sept. 29, 1919, in Bonham and married Jerome Henry Hodges on Sept. 27, 1943, in Pulaski, Ark. She retired from Sears as a division manager after 26 years. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carole Scales of Amarillo and Paula DiBenedetto of Wolfforth; a son, Henry of Lubbock; four brothers, Billy Carruth of Carrollton, Eugene Carruth of Fort Worth, Billy Carruth of Dallas and Richard Carruth of Seagoville; a sister, Pauline Gabbert of Denison; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
