Patricia Ann "Patty" Barnes, 64, died Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita. She was born on August 29, 1944 at Parkersburg, WV the daughter of Charles and Anna Mae (Williams) Grant .
She was married to Russell Clowdis, he passed away on August 15, 1972. She married Paul Barnes on October 3, 1987 in Dodge City. Patty worked for Happy Trails Flea Market for many years.
Survivors include her husband, Paul D Barnes of Dodge City; four daughters, Marlenna Moon and husband Randy of Buffalo, Mo, Elizabeth Barnes-Hardaway of Guyton, Ga, Pam Wilson of Wilmington Island, Ga, and Janet Jones of Riley; two sisters, Linda Sue Ashing and husband Tom of Oklahoma City, Okla, Pamela Bennett and husband Rick of Kansas City, Kan; two sister-in-laws, Charlotte Grant of Questa, Fla. and Yvonne Grant Smith of Moore, Okla.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; step mother Verna Grant, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, William Grant and Charles Grant Jr.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dick Robbins presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation. Family suggests memorials to Make A Wish Foundation.
