Charles Riney, 40, good citizen of the St. Patrick neighborhood, died very suddenly while scooping gravel on Highway 61 near the Byrd Dawson farm about 9 a. m. Wednesday. Despite the hot day, it was thought that heat did not cause his death. John Jones, a neighbor, worked by his side all morning and observed nothing wrong with him. They had rested about 20 minutes and were filling the second truck when he heard Mr. Riney gasp. He fell and died instantly. The body was brought to the Kelly Funeral Home and there prepared for burial. Mr. Riney is survived by his widow, a son, 20, a married daughter, 18, a daughter, 13, and a son, 15.
