Bertha Mae Bevard, 81, of Fulton, Missouri, died Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at the Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton. She was born February 17, 1917, in Clark County, near St Patrick, Missouri, the daughter of John Franklin and Katherine Riney Fox. She married Glen B Bevard in 1947, in Hannibal, Missouri. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1994. She had been a resident of the Fulton Residential Care Center, and was a member of St Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Keokuk, Iowa. Survivors include three sons: William Bevard and his wife, Rita, of Fulton, Missouri; Ron Bevard and his wife, Linda; and Larry Bevard and his wife, Karen, all of Keokuk, Iowa; a stepson, James Bevard and his wife, Karla, of Keokuk; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elsie Williams of Grinnell, Iowa. In addition to her husband, Mrs Bevard was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers. Funeral services were held Friday, March 27, 1998, at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk, Iowa, with Reverend Keith Percell officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Fulton Residential Care Center, 120 Hospital Drive, Fulton, MO 65251.
