John Wallace Alexander, 60, died at King's Daughters Hospital at 3 o'clock Sunday morning after an illness of several weeks. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the chapel of Oakes & Nichols by the Rev. E. D. Troutt, pastor of the Culleoka Methodist Church. Burial was in McCains Cemetery. A son of the late Joe Frank and Jessie Estes Alexander, he was born in Texas but lived here for many years, being engaged in farming. He was a member of the Bigbyville Methodist Church. Surviving are two aunts, Miss Johnnie Alexander, of Franklin, and Mrs. John W. Perry, of Maury County, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Maynard Murphy, Albert and Frank Matthews, Alvin Perry, Homer Garner and Dr. C. D. Nowlin. Oakes & Nichols is in charge of arrangements.
