Obit for Houston County Courier - Sunday, November 6, 2005 Mrs. Delois Robinson, age 87, of Weldon, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2005 in the Houston County Nursing Home. Mrs. Robinson was born February 18, 1918 in Grounds Community and had lived in Weldon all of her lifetime. She was a lifetime member of the Weldon Civic Club. Mrs. Robinson was retired and had owned the Robinson Grocery in Weldon. Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Huntsville Church of Christ. Survivors include her children Melody Robinson Gayle and husband Dr. Lelve G., of College Station, Joe Robinson and Dorothy, of Weldon and Robin Robinson and wife C. J. of Weldon; grandchildren Justin Gayle, Julie Baker, Meleah Steelman, Jay Robinson, Delisa Morton, Holly Music, Cody Robinson, Caitlin Robinson, Colt Robinson, Caitlin Robinson,Colt Robinson; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Betty Smallwood, of Houston; brother George Grounds and wife Frankie, of Palestine; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Preceded in death by her husband Hyman Robinson in 1984; and brother, Edward Grounds 1943. Funeral services for Mrs. Delois Robinson were held Wednesday, November 2, at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Mr. Bob Payne officiating. Interment followed in the Weldon Cemetery.
