Mr. Andersen was a native of Low, Denmark. He had lived in Modesto since 1957. He was a machinist for 40 years; he last worked at Barnes Machine Shop and American Can Co. He served in the Danish army from 1941 to 1945. He enjoyed making toys.
He is survived by his children, Kim J. Andersen of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and Karen Elizabeth Andersen of Arlington, Va.; brother, Karl Vang Andersen of Denmark; sisters, Karen Andersen and Ellen Borresen, both of Denmark; and one grandchild. He was prdeceased by his wife, Edith Anderson ( 26 Mar1924 - 29 Jan 1995).
