Everett Franklin, 64, died Tuesday, June 12, in Paintsville Hospital after a sudden illness.
Mr. Franklin was born Mar 20, 1915 in Johnson County, the son of James and Ellen Sammons Franklin. He was a resident of Thealka, a retired coal miner and a member of the Concord United Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha Davis Franklin; two sons, Carl Franklin and James M. Franklin, both of Thealka; a daughter, Rebecca Wells of Thealka; two brothers, Edgar Franklin, Thelma and James Franklin, Jr. Fairborn,OH, a sister,Nora Auel Franklin,Lowmansville;six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 14 in Concord United Baptist Church with Elders Buell Ferguson and Charles Price officiating.
Burial was in Franklin Cemetery with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements.
