Henrietta "Hank" Louise Anderson, 67, Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at her residence.

She was born January 23, 1943 in Minneapolis, the daughter of William M. and Gertrude N. (Tomasko) Mapes. She graduated high school in Minneapolis and received an Associate's Degree from University of Wisconsin, River Falls. She married Raymond A. Anderson on March 12, 1960 at the Little Brown Church in Nassau, IA. She worked at the Minnesota Correctional Facility as a Corrections Counselor, the Red Wing Republican Eagle, and volunteered at Annadee's Closet. She was very active in her community and took great pride in serving as a mentor to many troubled children. She was a Eucharistic Minister at the Church of St. Joseph, she was an AA sponsor, she loved her pets, gardening and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Survivors include four children: Barbara Anderson of Red Wing, James (Rene) Anderson of Hastings, Susan (David) Olson of Duluth and Brian Anderson of Red Wing; ten grandchildren: Nicole, Jesse, Cassandra, Paige, Garrett, Caitlin, Michael, Lacey, Tyler and Zander; one great-grandson: Andre; five brothers: Bill (Carol) Mapes of St. David, Arizona, Ken (Judy) Mapes of Brooklyn Park, Dave (Linda) Mapes of Inver Grove Heights, Eugene and Jerome Mapes; brother-in-law Ted Hollan, and several nieces and nephews and her beloved dogs, Maggie and Milo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray on February 25, 2001, and one sister, Elizabeth Ann Hollan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Church of St. Stephen, 525 Jackson Street, Anoka, MN with Father Bennet Tran officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Anoka, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass at church.
