Mrs. AhYou worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Co. in Aurora, IL for many years before retiring in 1987. She married James AhYou on Feb. 14, 1970 in Eola, IL and moved to Prescott Valley from Yorkville, IL in 1993. She was a member of the Prescott Valley United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies of the Moose in Prescott Valley. Her family knew her as a "people" person who enjoyed animals.
Surviving are he husband, James, son Patrick of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; daughters, Donna VanBarriger of Big Rock, IL and Jackie Sweeney of Aurora, IL; nine grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one great- great- grandchild.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Prescott Valley United Methodist Church, 8944 E. Sommer Dr., Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.
