Dewain Medwin Blair (He was known as Wayne throughout his life) was born June 11, 1923 in Eagle Rock California to James Blair and Selina Ernitta Randall Blair, the third of five boys. Within a few months of his birth, his family moved to Utah County, Utah, living in the Provo/Orem area for the next 20 years. He went to Lincoln High School where he met his sweetheart. He married Leone Madsen on April 3, 1942.

He served in WWII in Germany and received several medals including the purple Heart. (Army Serial Number 39933329) After the war he moved with his family to Clearfield Utah and found a job working at Hill AFB Utah where he worked until he retired after 33 years. Other than a few excursions outside of Utah, he lived in Clearfield the rest of his life.

After his retirement he served two missions with his wife for the LDS church. One to Vermont at the Joseph Smith Memorial and one to the New Zealand Temple.

He died in Clearfield April 19th, 1995
