A native of Georgia, Mrs. Ellis had made her home in Palestine for over 50
years. A member of First Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her
husband, Mack Ellis, who died December 30, 1952.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. H. H. (Marjorie) Cole of Houston; three
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers,

two sisters, Mrs. Ina Wilkins and Mrs. Effie Williams, both of Grapeland.
