Obituary Stock Broker dies, 62
O. Earl Granttham, 62, of Sound Avenue, Riverhead, died Thursday.
Born Jan 11, 1906 in Macon, GA. he had been a resident of this community for 13 years. He attended the University of Southern California's Liberal Arts and Law School and received a Masters Degree from New York University. A lawyer and stock broker, he was a registered representative of Wood-Walker & Co's Riverhead branch and was a Lieut (jg) in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Ollen was a member of the California Federal Bar, American Bar Association, the Sound Avenue Congregational Church of which he was a past Deacon, was treasurer of the Sound Avenue (Jamesport) and Aquebogue Congregational Tri Parish, a past board member of the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, the Riverhead Lodge No 645 F & AM, Riverhead Rotary Club, immediate past chairman of Local Draft Board No 1, was very active in the Salvation Army and was president of the Old Landing Recreation Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Caryl Reeve; three brothers, Otis of Los Angeles, Jessie J. Jr of Las Vegas, and Lloyd of Orlando, Fla; and three sisters, Mrs Verde Gillela, Mrs Richard Randelman and Mrs Robert Pererman, all of Los Angeles. Services will be held at 2 pm today at the Sound Avenue Congregational Church with the Rev Allyn P Robinson, Dean of Adelphi Suffolk College, officiating. Interment will be in the Sound Avenue Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Reginald H Tuthill Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Roy Reeve, Bernard Marcazzo, Elbert Robinson, Wilmot Warner
and John Thomas.
