TULARE Madge M. Bottum, 87, of Tulare, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 1983, at Huron
Regional Medical Center, Huron.
The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's United Church of Christ
near Tulare. Pastor Mike Trumbo will officiate. Burial will be in GAR
Cemetery, Miller.
She was born July 14, 1896, at Miller to Mr. and Mrs. John Morrow. She
graduated from Miller High School and graduated from South Dakota State College
(University), Brookings, in 1920. She taught home economics in California until
1930. She married George Bottum Aug. 22, 1930, at Redfield. They lived on a
farm in Burdette Township. She was a member of St. John's church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Delbert of Tulare, John of Arlington, Va., and
Richard of Tulare; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister,
Delia Stangler of Los Alamos, Calif.; a brother, John Morrow, Chicago, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
