A Bellaire couple, well-known in Richmond, were killed instantly when their automobile struck a slow moving freight train early Saturday morning. The tragic accident happened just before 2 a.m. at the US 59 crossing of the Missouri-Pacific in Sugar Land. Killed were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas M. Adams who were headed back to Bellaire after having attended an open house in Richmond. They had just left the home of Mrs. Adams' sister, Mrs. Raymond White of Richmond, where they visited after attending the open house. The couple have a 3-year-old son, Thomas M. Adams, Jr. and a married daughter, Mrs. Betty Fulwiler of Houston. Another sister of Mrs. Adams also lives in Richmond. She is Miss Lucille Brisbois. Other survivors of Mrs. Adams are her father, J. D. Brisbois of Eagle Lake; brother, J. W. Brisbois, Edna; and two other sisters, Mrs. Alton Land, Edna, and Mrs. Hazel Broussard, Houston.
