She was a beautiful mother whose focus in life was her family; she lived a full life cherished by her children and grandchildren who are grateful for her example of kindness, humor and elegance. She was married to Gustave Aguilar in 1928 and had 3 children, Maria Howard, Ann Garske, and Robert Aguilar. She felt close to her sons in law, Harry Howard and John Garske and her daughter-in-law, Jan Swanson Aguilar. Her grandchildren, Richard, Teresa, Suzanne, Renee, David, Dan, Laura, Carol, Onnie, Danny, Nancy, Connie, Adam, Michael, Don, David and Nancy have many happy memories of card games she taught them (especially Canasta) and to this day we have Canasta tournaments in her honor.
