Manville, NJ- Katherine (Zsoldos) Sulzer, 96, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her devoted family. Born in Romania, daughter of the late Mathew and Katherine (Hilper) Zsoldos, she settled to Manville in 1955.
Katherine was a homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. She loved cooking, baking and was known for her "donuts". Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening and flowering always sharing the fruits of her labor with others. Katherine was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, a member of the Manville Senior Club and a former member of the Peirogi Club affiliated with Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Manville.
Besides her parents, Katherine was predeceased by her beloved husband Steven Sulzer on June 11, 1991 and by her cherished granddaughter Linda Dembiec.
She leaves behind her loving and devoted children: Stephen and Susan Sulzer of Kempner, TX; Katherine and George Schmitt of Bridgewater; Julianna and Peter Petersen of Kempner, TX; a dear sister Theresa Boian of Romania. Katherine will be deeply missed by her nine cherished grandchildren and twelve precious great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 beginning 8:30 a.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, NJ 08835 followed by a 9:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville. Katherine will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
