Mrs. Mary Florine Ardery, 92, died at the St. Augustine Home in indianapolis Saturday at 12:57 p.m., having been in failing health for a few months.
Mrs. Ardery was born July 2, 1885, in Decatur County, the daughter of Henry C. and Bridgett Woods Bowman. She was married to Samuel David Ardery Nov. 6, 1912, in Indianapolis and he preceded her in death jan. 23, 1947. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She had lived in Indianapolis for the past four years, and prior to that time she resided in Greensburg and Kingston. In Greensburg, her home was on East Washington Street.
She is survived by two sons: Dr. Ardery, Greensburg, and Robert Ardery, Shelbyville; three daughters, Mrs. Mary F. Dunn, Indianapolis, Mrs. Margaret Burk, Indianapolis and Mrs. Dyar (Ruth) McHenry, Indianapolis, one sister, Mrs. Lillian Vonderheide, Greensburg; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One sister, Rose Bowman and one brother, John Bowman, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Geis officiating and with burial in South Park Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 this evening.
