MARION VIRGINIA DOXEY (TALBOT), born a farmers daughter in Great Bridge Virginia, was named in honor of the first child born in the Americas "VIRGINIA" Dare ~ Her parents were LLOYD DOXEY and FLOSSIE JEAN BOWDEN of Currituck and Knotts Island North Carolina. She was the youngest of six children born to Lloyd and Flossie. Her siblings were GENEVA LOUISE, JOSEPHINE ELIZABETH, CLIFTON LLOYD, CHARLES EDWARD and JOSEPH CORNELIUS all deceased. Marion lived most of her life in Portsmouth Virginia after a short childhood in Jarvisburg North Carolina. She was a loving wife to JUDSON JAMES TALBOT and a devoted mother to her children. She had a compassionate nature and her occupation of a personal in home caregiver for the elderly and a nanny to many children was a testament to her Christian beliefs. She moved to Texas when Judson retired to be near her children and live out their retirement years. Both are buried in Katy Magnolia Cemetery in Katy Texas.
