Oscar Lee Lewis, son of Edmond and Mattie Dixon Lewis, was born August 10, 1910 in Clarksville, Texas, Sandhill Community. He attended school in Clarksville. He united with Pleasant Hill Church and later moved to Macedonia Syloam, serving as deacon and choir member until his health prevented him from so doing.

Oscar was preceded in death by his wife, Jodie Ann, five brothers, Jim Lewis, Sampson Lewis, Zebidee Lewis, Jason Lewis and Gavin Lewis, and five sisters, Edna Scott, Edwina Lewis Nelson, Juanita Behn, Lucille Anderson and Bobbie Lee Lewis.

His survivors are: Son, Henry L. Lewis, Wichita, KS; sister, Ollivette Young, Albuquerque, NM; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
