Son of Luther and Millie (Robinson) Canada.
He was a member of Gilead Baptist Church. He belived in volunteering his time to those in need and made donations to the First Step Petty Center on a regular basis. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers, Kenneth, L.D., Jr. and David Canada.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Magaline Canada; his faithful dog, Skip; one brother, James "Pete" Canada and wife Bert of Gifford; three sisters, Barbara Tucker of Caney; Linda Bissell of Hot Springs; Carolyn Hathcock of Benton; two brother-in-laws, Clayton Manning and of Malvern and Richard Manning of California; four sister-in-laws, Frances Canada of Lonoke, Louella Canada of Malvern, Rosa Stone of Malvern, and Freda Bosley of Bismarck; a close nephew, Richard Canada and wife, Terry; several nieces and nephews; and his church family. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 2, 2010 at Manning Cemetery in Malvern with Brother Andy Burks officiating.
Pallbearers will be Charles Porter, Joe Kenon, Richard Canada, Jeff Roark, Steve Roark and Darrell Roark.
Honorary pallbearer will be James Welcher.
