Harry was born in England to John and Ann Chapple. they moved to the U.S. in 1850 and on to Janesville Ward 1-Rock Wisconsin then to Bastrop, Texas in 1880. 1910 was then in Tom Green County, Christoval, Texas until his death. He married Sarah Ann Owens in 1872 and had 14 Children. When Sarah passed away in 1914, he remarried to the widow of Samuel Marion DeLong, Daisy Estus Bowen in 1917, they had one son , Harry Chapple Jr. Harry was a rancher and farmer.
he served in the Union Army from 1865-1866 and went to Civil war reunions in Christoval. he passed away in Christoval in 1939.
