Sarah Ashley Billings, 28, of New Britain, formerly of Newington, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 6, 2009.
She was born in Hartford on January 11, 1981. Raised in Newington, she attended local schools, and went on to complete various college courses.
Sarah's caring personality led her to career in nursing, where she could share her warmth and compassion for others each day as a CNA and licensed phlebotomist.
A free spirit who was young at heart, Sarah's smile would light up the room. She loved nothing more than surrounding herself with family and friends, where she could be herself, the fun-loving Sarah that everyone enjoyed to be around.
Her greatest passion was motherhood, and spending time with her beloved daughter, Ellia.
She leaves behind her father and step-mother, Robert and LouAnn Billings of Plainville; her mother, Christina Frank of Glastonbury; her daughter, Ellia Corrinne Billings; her brother, Ryan Billings of Plainville; and her sister, Katy Billings of New Britain. She also leaves her aunts and uncles, Louise Billings, Pat Poirier, Andrew Frank, and Raymond Billings; her boyfriend, Kevin Lockery; and many cousins and dear friends, all who will miss her dearly. She was predeceased by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, and her aunts, Corrinne Krueger and JoAnn Billings.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, from 4-7 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St., Plainville. Funeral services in celebration of Sarah's life will be held on Monday at 10 a.m at St. James Episcopal Church, 3 Mountain Rd, Farmington. Burial will be held privately.
