Edith was the daughter of Jimmy and Laura Ellis Harris. She married Raymond Frank Allsup Sr. on Nov. 5, 1948, in McAlester. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and watching movies. Survivors include her children, Frank Allsup and fiancé, Linda, of McAlester, Mike Allsup, of Indianola, and Janice Eller and husband, Wade, Abilene, Kan.; brother, Kenneth Harris and wife, Sandy, Dayton, Iowa. Also, grandchildren, Lanene Trammell and husband, Jason, of McAlester, Matthew Allsup, of McAlester, Brian Allsup, of McAlester, Michael Eller, Abilene, Leah Eller, Abilene, and Janice Allsup, of McAlester, and great-grandchildren, Anthony Tipton, Rylee Allsup and Brooklyn Allsup, all of McAlester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Frank Allsup Sr.; son, James "Jimmy" Allsup; two brothers, Charles Harris and Clifford Harris, and parents, James and Laura Harris. Pallbearers will be Jason Trammell, James Labor, James McClaughrey, Michael Tipton, Chris Wofford, and Jamie Wofford. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Jordan, James Bryant, William Middleton, Allen Herrin and Don "Buddy" Eller. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home led by Father Leonard Higgins. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in McAlester celebrated by the Rev. Leonard Higgins. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in McAlester. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chaney-Harkins Funeral Home of McAlester.
