Mr. James Foster Hall, 82, of Groveton, died Thursday in a local hospitaL Mr. Hall was born in Crockett, but had lived in Groveton the last 60 years. A retired merchant, he was a member of the Methodist Church, the Groveton Lions Club and the Odd Fellow Lodge, and was a former mayor of Groveton. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the Waller Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jewel Strong officiating. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery. Survivors include a brother, Horace Hall of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Purvis of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Mahala Brownlow of Shreveport, La., a number of nieces and nephews. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
