I edited the contrast and color of this photograph so that you may be able to more clearly see the inscription of Metilda's name (spelled Matilda on the headstone), and her dates of birth & death. Blessings, Andrea

Metilda S. Hyde is buried next to her husband, James L. Hyde in the I.O.O.F. segment of the Greenwood Pioneer Cemetery located in Canon City, Fremont County, Colorado 81212. At the bottom foundation segment of the headstone, it is difficult to see, but the name Hyde is imprinted into the stone. It is in good shape and is in a nicely maintained natural grass land cemetery. Blessings to you and yours, Andrea

At this time, I was unable to locate the headstone for Metilda Hyde. I plan to meet with the City Dept of Cemeteries next week, but in the mean time I thought you would find the registry book information of interest which shows James L. Hyde and Metilda's information in the file kept on site at the cemetery. I thought that you would like to see what I've found so far, and I will be back in touch as soon as possible.
