Mr. Anderson died suddenly at his home in the Burristown community on Monday, December 30, 1968.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Girtie Boles Anderson; six sons: Odell Anderson, Baltimore, MD, Winnell Anderson, Detroit, MI, Ernest and Paul Anderson, Dayton, OH, Olen and James Anderson of Gainesboro; six daughters: Mrs. Izell Noble of Kentucky, Mrs. Ina Phillips and Mrs. Idell Hammock of Gainesboro, Mrs. Estelle Boles of Detroit, Mrs. Wanda Sherill and Mrs. Jewell Scott of Dayton, Oh; a step-son, Carlos Hammock of Detroit; thirty-five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marshall A. Anderson were conducted on Thursday, January 2, at 1:00 pm from the Burristown Assembly of God. Bro. J. B. Watts, Bro. Ernest Scott and Bro. Bill Neal officiated. Interment was in Lynn Cemetery with Draper and Naff Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
