Adrian Driefuerst, father of Mrs. John Limberg, a mention of whose illness was made in the last issue of The Times, passed away at his home in St. Cloud Thursday evening, the 27th ult., at the remarkable age of 91 years. His death was due to a general breakdown, the result of old age, and followed an illness of a month's duration.
Mr. Dreifuerst was born in Fulda, Germany, November 1st, 1828, and came to this country with his parents in 1848. The family settled in Albany, New York, and resided there until October, 1858, when they came west and settled on a farm near the village of St. Cloud.
He was married in June 1856, to Miss Christiana Herrlick, who died May 15th this year. He retired from farm life in 1886 and moved to the village of St. Cloud where he has since resided. The deceased was the father of eleven children, six of whom survive him, viz: Anton and Ferdinand Dreifuerst, Mrs. Lawrence Voelker, Mrs. Alfred Wagner, Mrs. Christ. Bergs of St. Cloud, and Mrs. John Limberg of Chilton. He also leave thirty-four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Monday morning and was largely attended by friends and neighbors who knew the deceased for many years and esteemed him highly.
