And YOU Shall Know the TRUTH and THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE" ~John 8:32~

Matthew 5:11

My wonderful mother passed from this life and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, surrounded by her beloved family on March 24, 2010 in Durant, Bryan County, Oklahoma. Brought her daughter and grand-children together in celebration of her dreams of heaven fulfilled: dancing with Jesus, and reunited with her mother Irene.

Evelyn Juanita was born May 8, 1933 in Greenville, Greenville County, South Carolina to the late Irene Loter.
She attended school in Greenville.
Evelyn moved to Dallas, Texas in 1950 at the age of 17, with her mother, brother and two uncles, Leon and Harry.

On March 24, 1956, at the age of 22, she married William 25, in Dallas, Texas. He was a neighbor who lived next door to her and her mother.

She and Bill welcomed their only child Stephen Earl Womack
on Febuary 19, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. Stephen was born 6 weeks premature. He passed the next day. While Evelyn was still in the hospital in Dallas, Stephen was buried in Milton Cemetery in Lamar County, Texas. She could never bring herself to visit his grave, citing it was to painful, but every year on his birth, she would grieve for him.
She divorced Bill in spring of 1966 and married Marion on March 24, 1966 in Denton, Texas the day after her divorce from Bill.
She and Marion had two children, which she loved and adored. She prayed often to be a mother, the only thing she ever wanted in her life. She separated from Marion in August 1975, and was still married to him till his death in 1990. She moved in with her mother then with her children. And later moved to the same apartment complex, so she could be near her mother to help her since she lived alone, she took care of my grandmother for many years, till my grandmother was placed in a nursing home.

Evelyn was a lifetime care-giver, working for Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) helping the sick and elderly, a job she enjoyed doing, but with very little pay, until her health would no longer allow her to. She was always a caregiver to everyone.

Evelyn was a very religious person and study her Bible everyday. She was always a kind and trusting person. My mother never did any harm to no one, and was always caring to everyone. She was a kind and loving soul.

Evelyn is remembered for her great kindness to family and her love and devotion as a mother and grandmother.

She was strong in her faith and was certain of her final destination. Her love of her Lord touched all as a glorious example of God's pure love.

She was known for her love of reading, and her ability to quote any scripture from the Bible.

She was loved by her children and grandchildren and is truly missed.

She is profoundly missed by her family, but we rejoice in knowing that she will spend all of eternity in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her two husbands, William and Marion, son Stephen Womack, her mother Irene Earnestine Fant Loter and two uncles Harry and Leon Fant and Nephew Bruce Fant. Brown's Funeral Services of Durant, Bryan County, Oklahoma made the arrangements.

She is survived by one brother and sister-n-law: Milton Fant and his wife Billie, daughter, son and three grandchildren.

Mom, there is not a day goes by that we don't think about you or mention you in conversation, do know you are truly loved and missed.

The inspiration of her faith, and perseverance will live on in our hearts forever

Some of my Mother's favorite verses she would read to me to remind me that silence is Golden.

Proverbs 29:11 ESV
A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds it back.

Exodus 14:14 ESV
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."

Psalm 18:3 ESV

I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.
