Lillian was the youngest of the six children of Vinc and Veronika Gerik who came to this country from Moravia. She was working in a cafe in south Oklahoma City when she met and then married Joe Lineberry in 1940. They had one daughter and three granddaughters. Lillian became a beautician when she and Joe lived for a time in Galax, Virginia in the mid-1940s. She continued that profession in Oklahoma City until her retirement. Lillian was an excellent artist who worked in oils and ceramics. Lillian was raised Catholic and lived her faith actively as a part of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church congregation in Capitol Hill.
