"Mrs. Aguirre"
"Martha Aguirre, 96, of Lampasas died July 10, 2005, at her residence.
Rosary was recited July 14 at Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Chapel. Funeral mass is July 15 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. James Harnan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
She was born July 29, 1908, in Brady, to Albert and Franisica Castillo Aguirre.
She married Frank Aguirre, and he preceded her in death in July 2000.
Mrs. Aguirre was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas. She was a Red Cross volunteer for many years.
Survivors include five daughters, Benita Maldonado, Ramona Achord and Lucia Curiel, all of Lampasas, Frances Lawrence, of Kempner, and Mary Brown, of Dallas; three sons, Carlos Aguirre, of Lubbock, Marcelino Aguirre, of Tucson, Ariz., and Raymond Aguirre, of Roger, Ark.; three sisters, Franisica Perez, of San Angelo, Trina Hernandez, of Brownwood, and Ascension Morua, of Goldthwaite; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jose and Santos Aguirre, and by two sisters, Ventura Garza and Melitona Hernandez.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or VistaCare Hospice in Temple.
