LEE ALTIC
Lee Altic, a resident of Claresholm for the past 30 years, passed away in the Claresholm Hospital Monday morning following a prolonged illness, Mr Altic was presumed to be well into the seventies in age, but as none of his kin are available, it is impossible to tell definitely. It is known that he had a sister in Virginia and a brother somewhere in the Southern States. Locally he is survived by an adopted son, Norman, as yet of minor age.
Mr Altic had lived in Claresholm since 1905, coming here from North Dakota and establishing a greenhouse business, but with changing conditions this grew less profitable. For a number of years he served as janitor for the United Church, till last fall when his heath failed. He was very reserved and few had access to his personality.
The funeral was held in the United Church Thursday afternoon, with S.J. Ristsund taking the service, Mrs Geo W Ringrose sang during the services. The pallbearers were C. Tillotson. J.W. Morrow. Alf McAllister, J/O. White S.L. Fraser and D.H. Ramage. The burial was made in the Claresholm Cemetery. George W Ringrose directed the funeral arangements.
