Dorothia Ann (Russell) Adkins, our loving daughter and mother, passed away on March 16, 2010, in her North Pole home. {Editor note: the obituary lists March 16, 2010, as her date of death. The Social Security Death Index lists it as March 17, 2010.}

Sis was born in Fairbanks, attended North Pole schools and lived most of her life in this area. She is most remembered for her artistic talents and great crafting skills. She also is remembered for her loving and giving nature with family and friends.

Sis leaves behind sons, Thomas Clemmons of North Pole, and Frank Adkins of Wasilla, mother and stepfather Sandra (Hollowell) and Jack Howard of North Pole, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Sheila Smith, Gary and Mary Smith of Anchorage, stepbrother Jack Howard II and companion Shardin of North Pole, stepsister Julie Calderon and husband Larry and family, uncles and aunts Dick and Betty Burkett of North Pole, Morry and Vicki Hollowell of Eagle River, Skip and Sue Goodman of San Antonio, numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.

A service is pending and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements were by North Pole Chapel of Chimes.
