Apache Junction, Arizona - Kenneth G. Arnett, 48, formerly of Avilla, died unexpectedly November 1, 2008 at Lost Dutchman State Park in Apache Junction, Arizona, he had lived in Litchfield, Arizona for the past 11 years. Mr. Arnett was born July 18, 1960 in Fort Wayne and lived most of his life in the Avilla, Kendallville area, he was the son of Earl and Bessie (Smith) Arnett. He was a semi retired paramedic and former LaGrange and Noble County Paramedic and worked for the Kendallville Park Department for many years. Mr. Arnett was a foster parent for the state of Arizona, he enjoyed camping, NASCAR, and playing the banjo. He especially loved caring for his dogs, Jamie and Mickey. He was also a former member of the Avilla Fire Department Surviving are a daughter and son n law, Stephanie and Jeff Kirkpatrick of Indianapolis, Sons, Kelly Arnett of Litchfield Park, AZ and Matt (Deb) Arnett of Phoenix, AZ, and a grandson, Seth Kirkpatrick. His father, Earl Arnett of Avilla. Sisters, Charlotte Engle, Barbara Egly and Patricia (Dean) Schaefer, all of Avilla. Brothers, Roger (Brenda) Arnett, and Chris (Laenise) Arnett, all of Avilla. Several nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his mother, Bessie Arnett on June 28, 1990. Funeral services for Kenneth will be Sunday at 2:00 PM at Brazzell Funeral Home, Avilla Chapel with Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Calling will be Saturday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial following the service will be at Swan Cemetery in LaOtto. Memorials may be made to the Noble County Humane Shelter.
