Services for Isaac Richard "Ike" Stanford, 90, of Clovis will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Highland Baptist Church. The Rev. Dick Ross will officiate.
Burial will follow at Mission Garden of Memories. Steed-Todd Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
Mr. Stanford died Wednesday at his home after a short illness. He was born October 25, 1905, in Pontotoc Co., Oklahoma.
He married Eula Mae Head on February 23, 1930, in Abilene, Texas. He was active in numerous senior citizen activities and art classes and had worked for the Santa Fe Railway for 37 years.
For many years, Mr. Stanford was in charge of the tape ministry, served as a deacon, and was an active member of Highland Baptist Church. He also was a member of Glory Choir, was a very active member of Senior Citizens and was a member of the Curry County and national historical societies.
He is survived by one sister, Blanche Conner of Clovis; four grandchildren, Harlan Boyd, Diana Nelson, Carolyn Pruitt, and Charlotte Harris; eight great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Mae Head Stanford, and two daughters, Imogene Lenora Boyd and Melba Joyce Stanford.
Casket bearers will be Bob Corder, Jerry Sparks, Duane Roberts, Bill Reed, Dick Higgs, and Jim Jackson.
Honorary bearers will be Harold Kilmer, Ed Kirksey, Don McAlavy, Harold Williams, Andy Chitwood, and J. D. Denham.
The family will be at 108 State Street.
