Canadice. - Birdsey Burch and wife started on their long anticipated trip to California on the 31st ultimo, via. Michigan, where they will visit friends and old neighbors. They expect to be absent about two months. They have the good wishes of this community.

Mrs. Alvira Burch died at the home of her son, Marcus, at Hemlock, on June 1. Mrs. Burch was born and always lived in this town until about ten years ago they moved to Wayland where they lived until a few months ago. Mrs. Burch was a member of this church and was always a friend in time of need. She was about eighty years of age. The funeral will be held at the house on Thursday at 9 o'clock with burial at Wayland.
