She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and served on the Board of Directors for Winoxet Girl Scout Camp. At various times, she was manager of Stones Radio Shop, Beaudry & Monette and Gaumont of Lowell, all of which were located on Main Street in Ayer. She was co-founder of Spruce Service Inc. of Ayer and Fitchburg, where she completed advertising and display work. She had been an antique collector and dealer for most of her life.
