MARIETTA – Gordon Adams, 76, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, at his home. He was born April 11, 1933, in Hindman, Ky., to Kelly and Lillis Williams Adams. He grew up in Pikeville, Ky., and graduated from Pikeville High School in May 1951.Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He retired from Baxter Health Care Corp. in Waukegan, Ill., after 18 years service. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Assn., VFW, American Legion, and American Military Society. He moved to Marietta in June 1989. He loved to fish and travel.
