Amos Bryer, Former Ponca City Man Dies
Funeral services for Amos Bryer, 33-year-old resident of Calvin, Oklahoma, who died at his home there Monday following a long illness, were held at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Gill Chapel. The Rev. G. Frank Sanders, pastor of the Christian church, gave the funeral sermon. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Bryer was a former resident of Ponca City. He is survived by the parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Bryer; the widow, Mrs. Lena Bryer; a son, William B., and two daughters, Mary Anna and Onetta June Bryer. Four sisters and four brothers also survive.
He was born in Mound City, Ill., August 21, 1897, and was married to Lena Broadway at Kingman, Kan., in June 1923.
