She married Luvenia Jackson (Jack) Long 21 January 1925 in Bessemer, Jefferson County, AL. They owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store. Sometime before WWII, they moved to Laurel, Jones County, MS and operated a neighborhood grocery there. Lucinda and Jack had 4 children. Jack had been married previously and widowed. first wife. After the death of Jack, Lucinda married Willie Beard. They divorced. Lucinda moved to Marietta, Georgia to be near two of her children who lived there. That is where she died.
